Dejam Vu

We are Dejam Vu, from Guadalajara, Jalisco, MX. The band was born in 2012 and throughout our experience together, our different personalities and influences we have managed to get our very own musical mix. As a band and as music students, we are always on a quest to enrich our skills to implement in our music. 

Dejam Vu combines varied genres like the blues, funk, rock and pop. All of these are mixed with a touch of Gypsy and World Music. 

The name of the band, Dejam Vu, comes from the fusion of the sensation of having witnessed or experienced something new:the Deja Vu, concept of JAM; and the art of playing improvised music. 

We have had the chance to play important gigs like the one at Teatro Diana, performing in the musical 'Amor Pop 2012' and other musicals like 'Godspell'. We had the chance to perform at the 'Health Race 8K' to support people that suffer from autism.

Somos una banda de Guadalajara. Jalisco formada a mediados del 2012 que, gracias a nuestras diferentes personalidades e influencias, hemos logrado crear nuestra propia ensalada musical. Como banda y estudiantes de música, buscamos siempre enriquecer nuestras habilidades para plasmarlas en nuestra música.

Nuestra propuesta abarca géneros como el blues, funk, rock y pop, mezclado con diferentes tintes desde el “Gypsy” hasta “World Music” . El nombre “Dejam Vú” es la fusión entre “haber sido testigo de algo o haber experimentado ya una situación nueva” (Déjà vu) y el “tocar ideas sin haberlas estudiado previamente: crear bajo la improvisación” (Jams).

Hemos pisado ya diversos escenarios como el Teatro Diana con una participación en el musical “Amor Pop 2012”, y otros musicales como “Godspell”. Hemos participado en diversos eventos como La Carrera por la Salud 8K a favor del autismo, algunos eventos privados y distintos bares locales.
